What counts toward the allowance?
Generating a passage uses its character count, including spaces and punctuation. A different voice or changed passage requires new audio. Replaying the same stored passage in the same voice does not use more characters. Each request supports up to 2,000 characters; the reader breaks longer text into passages.
When the allowance runs out, new cloud generation stops. Device voices remain available. There are no automatic voice-overage purchases.
Your words and your account
Choosing a cloud voice sends each passage you play to Cloudflare for speech generation. Audio is stored privately for your account and may be cached on your device for offline replay. Your avatar is generated locally from an account identifier. Cloud syncing your reading collection is a separate action in your account.
Managing a subscription
Use Manage membership in your account to open the billing portal. Your account shows whether your current period will renew or end. Previously generated audio remains replayable after cancellation while the account and stored audio remain available. Account deletion cancels subscriptions and removes the account's server-held reading copy and audio; export your reading data first.
